Charlie Geenen

Charlie Geenen on the Linotype Model 31, circa 1973. My grandfather was convinced computers would be the death of typography. Every day, I try to prove him wrong.

My father was a typesetter. So was my grandfather. I grew up working in a world where skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail were the standards, and I've worked hard to maintain those standards throughout my career.

Because if I didn't, Charlie would come back and give me an earful.

Over the past 20 years I've worked as an art director/designer for ad agencies, in-house shops and as a freelancer; crafting and directing projects and campaigns in brand positioning, print collateral, web design, corporate identity, tradeshow display, and packaging. I'm adept in all aspects of the creative process, from concept development through production, and skilled in managing multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with vendors and meeting deadlines.

In that time, I've developed relationships with some very talented people. When needed, I can put together a team of true professionals — copywriters, web developers, illustrators, photographers and retouchers — that gets you access to top talent without paying big agency overhead.

Thanks for stopping by. Let's work together.
